NEWS: Career histories of three more LAICCC
alumni can now be viewed on the Performing
Arts Legacy Project website - More Info

EVENTS: You're invited to join us Nov. 4 for
our Networking Mixer and annual C. Bernard
Jackson Birthday Celebration - More Info

We'll be documenting the event, so if you have a history with Inner City Cultural Center, we invite you to prepare a 1-2 minute presentation about yourself, your career, and how you were influenced by Inner City Cultural Center. How did you come to Inner City? What memorable event(s) were you involved with -- as an actor, production staff, administrator, playwright, technician or stage craftsman, musician, dancer or choreographer?

Your presentation will become part of our Cultural Legacy Project, the permanent home for which will soon be announced. Los Angeles Inner City Cultural Center is also the first West Coast arts organization invited to participate in the Entertainment Community Fund's Performing Arts Legacy project, where career histories of ICCC alumni are also preserved.

59 years after its founding in August 1965
by C. Bernard Jackson and Dr. J. Alfred Cannon, The Los Angeles Inner City Cultural Center continues to make an impact on the global entertainment community, as well as in the broader context of social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion.

On this website, you'll find a comprehensive picture of our history and the many distinguished actors, playwrights, directors, musicians, dancers, and choreographers who have passed through our doors. Learn more here.

Our 59th anniversary Fall Celebration this year will take place from 7-9 pm at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center, 4718 W. Washington Boulevard in Los Angeles. It will also be a networking mixer, with entertainment, refreshments, and a no-host beer & wine bar. Come and re-connect with old friends and meet new ones.

See our coverage in Broadway World.

Seating is limited, so we encourage you to reserve in advance. Tickets at $25.00 are available online at EventBrite; any remaining seats will be available at the door. Our host for the evening will be veteran film and TV production executive Kokayi Ampah, whose credits include "The Color Purple," "The Shawshank Redemption," "The Soloist," "Band of Brothers," "Million Dollar Baby" and many more films and TV shows. His background is particularly relevant to LAICCC's mission in that he was the first African-American union location manager, and later served as the Diversity Workshop Facilitator for the Directors Guild Trainee Program for many years.

We'll also be showing video clips featuring our first four participants in the Entertainment Community Fund's Performing Arts Legacy project -- Christine Avila, Gloria Calomée, J.D. Hall and L.
